DESCRIPTION AND DETAILS OF PROJECT:


The redevelopment replaces the two storey members’ building, constructed in 1968, with a purpose built gaming and lounge facility incorporating balconies and open spaces. Above this a level of meeting rooms, administration and cinemas, leveraged off the dining and circulation paths in the existing building. The top storey contains a purpose built, clear span, convention space for up to 800 people designed to respond to the market being attracted to the expanded Twin Towns Resorts. The redevelopment comprises;

Demolition of part of the existing club building at ground level and Level 2;
Internal refurbishment of the existing building in stages;
Ground Level – Rationalise existing car parking and circulation including a marked pedestrian pathway through the car parking area to the Club entry point;
Rationalise internal flow of patrons, construction of an atrium to link the two (2) existing club entries, including new internal lift and stairs;
Level 2 – new building comprising entertainment, light food and balcony/beer garden and outdoor smoking area;
Level 4 – Cinema and/or conference facilities, meeting room, balcony offices, entertainment and outdoor smoking area;
Level 6 – Conference and entertainment facilities (approximately 1000m2) back of house amenities, bar, foyer, balcony and outdoor smoking area.

Subsequent Development Applications have been lodged for a Club Lounge facility within the Twin Towns Mantra Resort and a Unique Perimeter Lighting presentation on the external façade of the club which was launched in 2018. This new dynamic state of the art digital media façade is the first of its kind in Australia creating a dazzling attraction for both locals and tourists crossing the QLD and NSW border. It incorporates high and low resolution digital LED technology, with over 2.3 million LEDs providing an infinite colour range. The centrepiece of the media façade is the high-resolution 17m wide x 5m high VuePix customized curved screen, consisting of almost 800,000 pixels. Over 424m of DigiFlex linear architectural LED strips have been used to highlight the unique silhouette of the building.
